Missed draft day? Second Chance leagues kick off in Week 6 with the same $100M cap, live auction and rules as every FLF league. You just get a shorter first season, then a full dynasty from Year 2.

Same league, shorter first season

A Second Chance league is a standalone FLF league on the same rulebook. The only difference is when you start.

Your first-year contracts count in full

Contracts you sign at your auction count as a full season, even with fewer games played. After the season, your league rolls over to a regular full-season league. Rosters, contracts and cap carry forward like any FLF dynasty.

    Your one-round college draft runs the day after your auction.

  • Same waiver budget

    Same $100M waiver budget, with waivers processed Thursdays at 4 AM ET.

  • Same trade deadline

    Trades lock on the same date as every FLF league: the start of Week 12.

  • Same roster rules

    Reserve/IR, RFA, roster limits and lineup locks all work the same way.

  • Playoffs in Weeks 15–17

    Your league crowns its own champion on the same weeks as everyone else.

Getting in

Join a public league or bring your friends

Join a public league

Get matched with other managers looking for a late start.

  1. Download the app and sign in.
  2. Open league discovery and tap the Second Chance tab.
  3. Pick a league, join and pay the $10 entry.
  4. Show up for your auction in Week 5.

Start a private league

Be the commissioner and bring your own group.

  1. Tap Create League and choose a Second Chance wave.
  2. Name your league and pick 8, 10 or 12 teams.
  3. Share the invite with your league mates.
  4. Once everyone’s in, schedule your auction.

Signups close as soon as a league’s auction is scheduled or starts.

Is a Second Chance league a real dynasty league?

Yes. It runs on the same rulebook, $100M salary cap and auction as every FLF league. First-year contracts count as a full season, even though you play fewer games. After this season your league becomes a regular full-season league, and your rosters, contracts and cap carry over.

How much does it cost?

The same as any FLF league: $10 per manager for the season.

When do signups close?

A league closes to new managers as soon as its auction is scheduled or starts. Wave 1 auctions run in Week 5. Wave 2 opens after Wave 1 signups close, with auctions in Week 7.

What if my public league doesn’t fill up?

Leagues need exactly 8, 10 or 12 teams to start their auction. If a public league comes up short, we may move it to Wave 2 or combine it with another Second Chance league. You’ll get a push notification and an email either way.

Do Second Chance leagues play against full-season leagues?

No. Each Second Chance league is standalone and runs its own playoffs in Weeks 15–17, the same weeks as every other league.
