Same league, shorter first season

There’s no special league type. A Second Chance league is a standard FLF league on the same rulebook. The only difference is when you start.

Your first-year contracts count in full

Contracts you sign at your auction count as a full season, even with fewer games played. Next season your league runs like any FLF league at standard pricing, and rosters, contracts and cap carry forward.

  • $100M salary cap

    Same live auction and bidding rules as every FLF league.

  • College draft included

    Your one-round college draft runs the day after your auction.

  • Same waiver wire

    Blind bids process every Thursday at 4 AM ET. After your auction, undrafted players are free agents right away.

  • Same trade deadline

    Trades lock on Nov. 24 (the start of Week 12) for every league, so a late start means a shorter trade window.

  • Same roster rules

    Reserve/IR, RFA, roster limits and lineup locks all work the same way.

  • Playoffs in Weeks 15–17

    Your league crowns its own champion on the same weeks as everyone else.

Join an open league

Get matched with other managers starting late.

  1. Download the app or sign up on the web.
  2. Open league discovery and pick a league that hasn’t held its auction yet.
  3. Create your franchise. Entry is free this season, so there’s no payment step.
  4. Once the league fills, the commissioner books the auction.

Start your own league

Be the commissioner and bring your own group.

  1. Tap Create League, name it and pick 8, 10 or 12 teams.
  2. Share the invite with your league mates. They join free too.
  3. Once everyone’s in, pick an auction date from Oct 10 to Oct 28, at least 48 hours out.
  4. Your season starts the week after your auction.

Is a Second Chance league a real dynasty league?

Yes. There’s no special league type. It’s a standard FLF league on the same rulebook, $100M salary cap and auction, just with a later start. First-year contracts count as a full season, and next season it runs like any FLF league, with rosters, contracts and cap carrying over.

How much does it cost?

Nothing this season. FLF is normally $10 per manager, but entry is free in any league that hasn’t held its 2026 auction and where no one has paid for 2026, including every new league. Standard pricing applies from next season.

When does my season start?

It depends on when your league’s auction runs: auctions Oct 10–14 start in Week 6 (first games Thu, Oct 15, 9 regular-season games); auctions Oct 15–21 start in Week 7 (first games Thu, Oct 22, 8 regular-season games); auctions Oct 22–28 start in Week 8 (first games Thu, Oct 29, 7 regular-season games). Your regular season runs through Week 14.

When do signups close?

Managers can join a league until its auction starts, and a league can fill up before an auction date is set. Commissioners can book auctions through Oct 28 with at least 48 hours’ notice.

Do Second Chance leagues play against full-season leagues?

No. Every league plays only within itself and runs its own playoffs in Weeks 15–17, the same weeks as every other league.
